Sound settings for best sound with G430 (2.0 vs 7.1)

I'm playing Star Wars Battlefront 2015, and am using my Logitech G430 with Virtual 7.1 to listen.

Should I set in game sound to playback as 2.0 or 7.1?

Been using 7.1, but I want to use the correct one for the best sound possible.

Yes, my sound setup is crap, but it's the best I got.

Just choose whichever one you prefer... If you like the sound of virtual surround for gaming, go with that. If you prefer regular stereo, go with that instead. Things like that are subjective
