Solved! Spacebar died

Hello,
thespacebardiedonmylaptop. it's a sony vaio tz. last night it was sticky. this morning it stopped working altogether. i'm using an external keyboard to type this in. i'd like to get the spacebar cap off, but it seems sort of resistant to prying. any tips?

If you are a bit handy you could try to disassemble the keyboard and see what's shorting the key.

thanks for your answer. unf i'm not that handy. i bought a replacement kbd.
