I have an Asus X550Z laptop (Motherboard #: 60NB07A0-MB1400_X550ZA) and replaced the screen. I didn't disconnect the battery when I replaced it, and it sparked when connecting the screen cable. Now there is no display when I turn the laptop on. Also, the HDD access LED light does not blink or flash after the initial blink when I start the laptop.
I know, shame on me. I took a look at the motherboard where the connector for the screen attaches and noticed a small cracked piece (fuse?) that is surface mounted. Is there a way to ID this part and is it possible to replace?
