speaker sounded weak

i have denon x2000. klipsch kf-28 speakers. while playing music thru usb port after a song finish its time to play the next song, but before the next song played the usb or the receiver made a loud ripping sound like you are playing vinyl from your phono and you accidentally pushed the arm and created a scratching noise. then the speakers sound became weak especially the bass. what is just happen?

Sounds the speakers are shot, possibly from a damaged voice coil.
