Speaker Upgrade

Hello,

I currently have a pair of Sony 2.1 speakers that are about 5 years old and a Creative Audigy SE sound card.

I'm looking for suggestions as to what will make a good purchase. They have to be 2.1 and my budget is around £50. I'm not looking for something that will go as loud as possible, I'm after sound quality.

For 50 quid and in your shoes i would really try used speakers/amp - perhaps give Gumtree UK a go?
