i have blue ridge cable here in pa for my home,i have tv/internet /phone...the house was pre wired for the tv so the lines are in walls for that ,but we had them come install internet and a land line, and it looks like they spilt off the main box outside and droped it in crawl space and then to the 2 boxes in closet to work internet and phone...my question is ,id like to use the line they have in crawl space to wire a tv i have in garage...can i adda splter to this line and hook the gargae tv to it to cet cable tv to the gargae...i think i can but checking before i cut the line..

Solution
I would not recommend to cut into the line that carries the internet. Each time a splitter gets installed, the signal strength goes down, and at some point ti will reduce your signal levels to the modem, and subsequently your speeds. Also, after you cut the wire it is not easily reversed. I would recommend to leave it alone.
