Just a quick question here, old laptop getting a bit bogged down, thinking of fitting a new harddrive.

Would plumbing for an SSD be a simple slot it in, install OS upgrade and would it be worth the extra £30 over a harddrive? Bearing in mind that the system is running on a celeron U 2300 @ 1.20Ghz, sata II.

Also would there be any compatibility issues with trying to put a 64bit OS on the system?

Cheers
Simon

Not worth the money or effort, in my opinion. I would buy a new laptop and install a SSD. It depends on what you are using the machine for, though. If it is just a cheap machine to browse the internet and check email, you might be better off removing Windows and installing Ubuntu.

Is the Celeron U 2300 a 64-bit processor? That will answer your question of if you can install a 64-bit OS.
