Stabilize my phones net speeds

I've looked into those apps that "improve" speed or whatever. Most people think they're fake and most of those apps probably are. Basically, I know my phone can reach average speeds of 200kb/s (3G) I just need to find a way that can stabilize it at those speeds.
It's really quite random. Usually if I'm holding it in a certain spot it's faster, but if it let it on that spot on it's own it'll slow down to about 50kb/s. I can deal with 200, but not 50. So, hopefully I can find a stabilization. I have Verizon. I've even attempted to put it outside my window, not much difference. Seems more phone issue itself than anything.

It's not the phone, it's the data connection to Verizon as well as whatever you are connecting to. If you want fast stable speeds, hook up the phone to a wifi connection in your house. You can also check around for a better phone, there are some models that get better speeds than others but not by much.
