[citation][nom]IzzyCraft[/nom]How? seriously how? is it some bullshit computer program converting it into 3d some how. These were shot with 1 camera[/citation]
Not all 3D movies are shot with 2 cameras. Some just use computers to generate two perspectives. In the case of Star Wars, I guess they'll hand-pick elements they want to see in 3D and use computers to generate the perspectives. It will be a tedious process, but I'm sure Lucas have the money...

This is such BS. Why can't Lucas wait until the technology is mature before ruining Star Wars again? Seriously, is he that broke? Just wait another 4 or 5 years and it might be doable. With todays technology it will look like shit. Remember Jabba in Episode 1? Is Han going to shoot third this time?

Who am I kidding though, I'll probably still (begrudgingly) pay to see it in theaters.

[citation][nom]squidz66[/nom]I'd give anything to see the sweet, sweet Natalie Portman in 3D! I'm in.[/citation]

I'd pay anything for them to CGI her lips shut when she has a piece of dialogue.

"Is Han going to shoot third this time?"

Well when galactic mercenaries get old, their rayguns need a little assistance to recharge.

Not again !
StarWars and Empire strikes Back was relaunched a couple years ago with little added. Now George Lucas will relaunch all in 3D.
I wanna see the end of the story. There are 3 trilogies: Episodes 1,2 e 3 tell us about Anakin. 4, 5 e 6 is Luke's time. 7, 8 e 9 Princess Lea rises as Jedi and Luke is "The Chosen One" (Dark Empire, Dark Empire II and Emperor's End - Tom Veitch).
George Lucas should make these Films instead of relauching the same stuff again.

You mean Lucas's FANS have the money...

Thanks kids, after Betamax I've never seen the series again so that I could wait for the definitive release. 3D is it and I've saved all my simoleons whilst everyone else been mugged off with Episode 1 Council guff.

Can he ruin it anymore. Has he got nothing else?. You cannot convert 2d to 3d that is a fact. My god George, leave it be.

Oh, wait. James is converting titanic. And I guess the best way to champion a new 3D format would be to do Star wars. And we will buy it and watch it.

WOW, yet another way to pick the pockets of everyone who loved the ORIGINAL theatrical released films. I used to think Lucas was above doing $hit like this...guess i was WRONG! For the record...dont have blueray, wont get blueray...wont get 3D BS cause Im one of the lucky who get headaches from it........Holographic IF it ever gets done?? HELL YES!!

george lucas and stephen speilburg have the soddomized corpses of short round and greedo and refuse to return them to their families for a proper burial.
