Question Steam games not opening

OK so , when i try to open a game on steam , it either says ''couldnt start app , app already running'' or it shows the ''preparing to launchh app '' screen and then nothing pops up . I need help ASAP because i spent alot of money in steam games and ive been trying to fix this issue for months , but nothing seems to work

You can try to check the Task manager if this game already opened. Sometimes games cannot start normally because of bug or something else. So, if you see the process (game) running - just close it in Task Manager and start again, normally. Be sure to check the Background processes too, as the game process might hide there.

In steam game setting there is an option to reset cache, try that and restart your system. If you have any cache clearing tool for windows use that too. Game will work.

Make sure your game file is not corrupted. Or the easiest way--try reinstalling it.
