I got this message from a "friend" who added me about wanting to trade he sent me some link and out of my ignorant stupidity i clicked it and it downloaded i opened it thinking it was some screenshot since it had the whole .scr thing at the end and it basically exited me out of steam and brought out the Login screen (seemed slightly different) by this time i figured it was some kind of key logger so i immediately uninstalled steam logged on my other PC changed my passwords for everything... about a minute after i think my internet went off for 30 secs and wondered why my antivirus or anti malware didn't picked it up till avast finally said it blocked a threat .

as soon as it was quarantined i just deleted it... But i'm still not sure if it's on this PC
Now my CCleaner is acting strange whenever i try to Run cleaner it says it needs to close chrome but it's already closed and it still just doesn't work instead it gives a message to Force close i don't know if this has to do with trying to use a restore point and failing or some kind of malware.

I tried running malwarebytes it didn't find anything

i've followed discussions on this
and tried using google on what the file name was not sure if it's the same thing though it seems so

im not sure if this has to do with it also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_U2ol29HyQ

i've read some comments saying it isn't a keylogger saying it directly controls your steam.exe program as it's running and trades the items from your account in an instant i believe my steam account didn't get taken is also because i don't have remember my password checked i type it in directly. i don't want to reinstall windows but i may have to to use steam right?

Solution
found out the reason ccleaner was having trouble was because google chrome was "running in the background" i don't remember doing this but yeah guess that was my own fault lol

Yeah a Ctrl+Alt+Delete will show what's running in the background. Had a similar problem with Mozilla Firefox recently and had to close it that way.
Glad it's sorted. And beware of A-holes on Steam. ;)

No problem, seems you solved it yourself. Looked at your screenies too and your system appears pretty clean.
