steelseries 4h headphones not working on pc but on ipad

i bought a headset a couple of days ago for my pc (steelseries 4h) and they dont work. my pc doesnt recognise them. i cant hear any sound and the mic isnt working. it says they are their but when i select them it says no audio device is installed. they work on my ipad and phone but not my pc. ive tried every port and even bought a usb adapter to try and get them to work but still no luck. if you have any ideas it would be very much appreciated

If they require USB connection, download drivers alot of headphones require drivers. If not then go into sound mixer and into your settings, then go and chose the device you wish to play sound through. They often default to a screen or an on board speaker and will over ride your headphones and audio jack. Then also set up your microphone because it will be looking for an onboard one by default.

it uses audio jacks and ive tried that but they arent recognised as in they dont show up.

Are you plugging it in to the front panel or the back?

When you plug them in, have you gone into device manager, and checked to make sure there is no audio/sound card or any other device missing a driver?

it doesnt have any drivers
