Steelseries H Wireless mic not recognized?

I recently bought the Steelseries H Wireless headset. For the most part, it's working great; however, the mic isn't showing up in the Recording devices.

The playback via the port is fine (and shows up in the Playback devices as Steelseries H Wireless) - it's just I can't get the mic to show up as an option in Windows 8.

I'm connecting via USB, and have tried both 2.0 and 3.0 ports on my computer. I've also restarted my computer.

I've sent in a support ticket, but figured I'd ask here as well to see if anyone had any experience with this sort of issue with the Steelseries H Wireless mic.

OK I FIGURED THIS OUT! So the little box that comes with your Steelseries H Wireless requires you to fiddle with it a little bit.

Click the sound knob and a new menu will appear.

1. Scroll down and select Sources.
2. Select Edit.
3. Scroll and select PC.

Game Audio Input (If you are using the Optical Cable select Opticle In, If you are using an Aux use Analog, if you are only using the USB use USB In)

Select Output (This is your microphone. Use USB OUT FOR THIS!)

For some reason Chat Mix and Live mix was the reason for the major issue. As a result by switching this from Chat out to USB Out is solved the problem for me. I hope this helps people who also have this product.

Steelseries is doing an RMA on the headset, so I guess it's nothing on my end that I can change.
