Steelseries siberia v2 vs frost blue edition?

So i have a choice between the normal siberia v2's or the frost blue edition, on newegg, the refurbished edition for the frost blue is like $5 more than refurbished normal ones, i just wanna know if its worth it? The lights are a nice touch, but i want to know if the actual integrated sound card helps with the quality of the sound or anything. If im only paying for the lights, i think ill just get the regular ones instead, any help would be appreciated.

If you also want to suggest another pair of headphones less than $80, id be happy to check it out

Here's a tip.

Don't buy headphones from a gaming company.

For the audio listening/recording experience, buy quality headphones and microphones from a company that is known for that (Sennheiser, Shure, etc.)

Also, never EVER buy a internal soundcard.

Well i apologize for not being clear, but i am buying gaming headphones for.. well.. you know.. gaming, if its good with music, thats an added bonus. I guess the only thing that would determine if its a gaming headphone is if it has a mic, otherwise i would definitely buy from senenheiser, or audio technica etc.

The sound card will not have much effect. If you can get one without the sound card that's cheaper, go with that.

You should go with a new one. You'll get a warranty with it and judging from the things I've heard about the Siberia line, you would really need it.

If you have a blue and white schemed gaming setup or you just like the lights then get the Frosty version!

I would love to hear your thoughts on my post I just so happen to of purchased a pair of $300 Sennheiser headphones and well like I said in my post the V2 Frost edition sound just as good and possibly have more clear deep bass. Since you are so for big names like Shure, Sennheiser, AT, etc please help me understand why they don't sound like what everyone hypes up these brand names to be over "gaming" headsets. Perhaps its just my Xonar DG soundcard?

Side note to the OP I do own the V2 Frost edition which comes with an integrated sound card on the usb plug (not sure if all of them do if you look at pictures some have different plugs) and man these things hit hard and are pretty dam crisp sounding for the highs as well. Just having bought these Sennheiser G4ME ZERO headphones I can say the sound quality is equal and I actually think the V2 are more comfortable for long gaming sessions!
