I've been getting a few different anti-virus software ads/reminders that appear at the lower right-hand corner of my screen.

I'd suggest you uninstall whatever antivirus software you're using and just rely on Windows' built-in Windows Defender. Updates, scans automatically with zero effort on your part.

Thanks, rchris for your prompt reply.

Windows Bit Defender is running, 24/7, in the background. And still I am getting these ads--some from Norton, some from Microsoft, some from MacAfee, some from Symantec, and a loud audio message accompanies each one.

When I go into my Control Panel I do not find any of these antiviruses in the Programs anywhere. Troublesome.

"Bitdefender" is a third-party software app; not the same as "Windows Defender." If you're running the former, I would uninstall it. If you're running the real "Windows Defender," I'd guess you have some adware junk on your computer. In that case, you might want to download Malwarebytes free antivirus software and run a scan. It should rid you of the adware, then turn Malwarebytes off or uninstall until you need it again.

Uninstall each and every anti virus which is installed on your system. and Just rely on windows defender.
Its an inbuilt windows antivirus.
Trust me its good
