Strange Channel Change

My mother-in-law has two DirecTivos. She klike to watch Univision, which in
SF is channel 14. During the Pope's illness she was seeing a live Univision
feed from the Vatican on one receiver tuned to 14, and on the other, she
was seeing a different show normally carried on Univision. So to the
viewer, they both looked OK, but she could not get the Pope's feed on the
set she wanted to watch.

Has anyone seen this, where two different feeds wind up on the same local
channel in the same market?

DirecTV carries only one channel 14 in the San Francisco DMA.
Your mother-in-law may have not been watching at the same point
in the "live" buffer on both DVRs. If one DVR had been in standby
for more than 30 minutes, the buffer content could have been different
by many hours. She probably was "behind in a live buffer" on one
of the two DVRs.

Probalby she was watching the National Univision in 400's on her another
tuner.

Isn't channel 48 Univision also or is Telemundo or are they the same.. I
don't know.

I know that Univision statation are strongest signal around bay area. I
don't even need to hook anyting up to antana In on my tv, channel 14
and 48 will comes in clear! They also have better new and better shows
with all the fine models..

Sounds like a possibility. I seem to recall trying to change channels, but
I may have only switched tuners.
