Hello, since like 2 days ago my laptop started to make a strange popping sound, at first I though it was from the audio driver, reinstalled it, still happens(it also happens on mute).I used HD Tune to check HDD it seems to be fine.
The sound happens at random intervals, it also stops audio when it happens, any idea what it might be?

Audio file with the sound -> https://ufile.io/exzxi

Thanks in advance,
Nicu

Laptop specification
ASUS X580VD (Vivobook pro 15)
Windows 10 x64
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
HDD ST1000LM035-1RK172 1TB
SSD Micron 1100 MTFDDAV256TBN 256 GB

Check the connection and the cable between the board and speakers, if you feel comfortable opening it up to do so. Possibly one or both cones in the speakers are defective, or the worst case is a malfunction with the audio chip (less likely).

I will check the cable but I don't have a screwdriver at the moment, I just realized that my speakers get quite hot, there might be a problem with the cable.

It says one potential problem is your network adapter. If you hear the popping noise and you're using WiFi, try disabling the WiFi momentarily (your laptop may have a switch or a key on the keyboard for doing this).

ok so what I am reading from the files is that you have too much power savings settings turned on in your laptop. It is trying to run everything at lowest possible power and slowing things down. Change your power setting to max, turn off any power saving settings and see if this helps. The popping noise may be the laptop turning off/ or back on devices. Go to this site and choose win 8, your operating system. It will explain step by step how to turn power on and disable all power saving settings. https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=3875#win8

I did this, I will wait a few days to see if it happens again, it happens kinda randomly, just before I did this it happened right after I unplugged my laptop ( I plugged it back and unplugged it a few times to test, it seems that for a while the sound started right after I unplugged it), I have a suspicion that it might be the HDD going in power saving move.

Sorry for the late reply, I had some problems with my WIFI couldn't connect to the internet q.q, anyway I opened up my laptop and it seems one of the speaker cone seems to be broken (it got detached from the plastic part). But the sound doesnt come from there, I disabled the speakers (adapter too) and the sound was still there.

If the power saving method doesn't work I will try this, thanks.

I attached an image with my speaker (the one with problems), its getting really hot if I have my sound adapter enabled, even if its so hot it still works, the sound is a little lower but it works nonetheless, any idea what it could be ? I am not good at the electric part, thanks :D.

It connects to the speaker/WIFI from the other side.
If I am not wrong the WIFI antenna is in the speaker or something ,from what I read .

I really doubt that's the case. They should be separate.

The white wire connects to the other WIFI Antenna which is in the in the speaker, as you can see in the picture.
