Studio xps 13 or hp dv3

hey every 1 i want to buy a laptop but im confused,which 1 should i buy dell studio xps 13 or hp dv3, many will tell me that the xps have heating issues but my friend just downloaded a new bios 011 and he work with his dell over 7 hours and it is very very cold and the dell coost 1280 while the hp 1030 with out tax at the same spec. so which 1 should i buy any advise?

Go with Dell. They have better customer service and warranties (I advise an extended warranty if you can swing it in either case, especially HP). I've never had an issue with a Dell, i.e. the family has a bunch of Dell laptops, while I've had nothing but problems with HP. I've lost 3 laptops from HP in roughly a year due to over heating. That's my 2 cents at least. There are probably some that haven't had an issue with HP.

*To clarify: I've had three HP's which died within a year or a little over of their purchase; not three in one year.
