I have a LG home theatre in a box. I want more bass, get rid of the LG sub and change to a powered Sub.
The problem is that there is only one speaker line from the LG to the Sub, no preout . I'm thinking of running the Front line speaker wire to the powered Sub and through the Front Speakers. Will this work? Any better option I can do?
Thanks for your advice.

I don't understand your logic of running front speaker wires to the Subwoofer, nor did I think that was even possible. A subwoofer should just be getting a signal (analog or digital) from the appropriate receiver.

Without knowing enough about your setup, I would imagine you could just swap the Subwoofer out for a better one that has uses the same input, assuming it's not a proprietary connection.

I have this issue with a poineer amp, that has not sub line out. I just run the sub output speaker wires to my powered sub which has high level inputs, which also has outputs back out to the passive sub, so i run both subs at the same time. You can also get high level>line level converters if your powered sub does not have high level inputs as americanaudiophile linked you to.
