Hi! I was shutting down my system yesterday, when I 'accidentally' hit 'Standby'. I have hibernate turned off, so it wouldn't restart.
I then switched off the power supply, cleared the power and started it up. I got a notice that the 8150 8core CPU cannot be unlocked , so overclocking failed. (my OC is 4334mhz)
I have a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX MOBO < (1st generation), bios 1604.
I went through all the settings again, and I still can't unlock my CPU, (which has previously been unlocked for 16 months).
Any ideas?

I cleared CMOS, tried my previous settings, still won't unlock the cores...I'm now wondering if I HAVE to unlock anything, as it IS an 8 core...???
(Although, I have noticed a difference in the core temps; up to 26C @Idle, from 19C before, using CoreTemp)
EDIT: after clearing again, (extra long wait), I have gotten my settings to work again, unlocker working fine now, Thanks! (don't know why it didn't work the 1st time, after all, it's "computer repair 101", LoL )

Upped the mhz to 240 from 200x18, basic. Using Antec H2O 920 cooler.
