Ok, I had to tear apart my laptop because one of my kids stepped on the power cord and broke the power connector socket within the laptop.
After repairs were complete and I had the laptop back up, suddenly 50% of the battery capacity was missing. What was once a 2 hour battery is now down to and hour if I play it right.

I suspect battery is out of calibration.

Proper recal?

Ok, so I ran powercfg.exe and forced windows to "do nothing" when battery power reaches critical. This ended up letting the laptop run for about half an hour after it officially reached 0% on its battery meter.

Now I'm in charge mode from completely dead and now the meter has been stuck at 99% for the past half hour or so.

So now my next question is this: the problem seems to be how windows is measuring power in the battery. Is there a command in powercfg.exe or some other utility to reset windows measurement of power?
