Suggestion required regarding building a custom gaming laptop

So i just heard about a newly created company in India making custom laptop builds based on Clevo Barebones.
The rig they suggested was -

Clevo Barebone - P750DM
Display - 15.6” IPS Full-HD 1920x1080 16:9 Matte (anti-glare)
CPU - Intel Skylake Desktop Grade i5-6500
GPU - NVIDIA GTX 970M 6GB GDDR5
RAM1 - G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 2133MHz DDR4
RAM2 - G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 2133MHz DDR4
RAM3 - Empty
RAM4 - Empty
Storage1 - SATA 2.5” 1TB 5400rpm HDD
Storage2 - Empty (SATA 2.5" HDD/SSD)
Storage3 - M.2 2280 120GB SATA SSD
Storage4 - Empty (M.2 2280 SSD)
Wireless - Intel Wireless-AC 8260, dual band, 2x2 + Bluetooth 4.2

Operating System - Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit (Pre-loaded)

Now what i wanna know is wether this rig is future proof enough for gaming and other stuffs such as Music production (FL Studio) and AutoCad, or are there some changes tat i can get done?
The price of the above rig is Rs. 1,15,000 and i would not want it to go above 1,25,000.

No idea on the pricing as I'm in the US, but for max longevity(hate the term future proof, no offense intended) my suggestions are below.

CPU - i7 6700K: 4.0ghz - 4.2 ghz
GPU - Nvidia 980(no M)
Upgrade the 120GB M.2 SATA to a 256GB PCIe SSD: PCIe will dramatically reduce load times
The rest is a solid setup

Not sure if any or all of that is possible or how much it would raise your price, but short of an SLI GPU setup(2 graphics cards) that's about as good as you can get right now. If it puts you over your price range, scrap the i7 suggestion as its not a huge boost.

I guess im lookin for 4 yrs max...until my gpu becomes totally crappy and i have to go for low-med graphics on it.
The price range of rig i posted was about 1722$. And i want it to be below 1900$. I literally cant go up to 2000$ since it goes seems much higher in INR.
Ive upgraded the hdd to 7200RPM and SDD to pcie, making the price to go upto 1800$.
Rest i think the desktop grade i5 6500 beats the laptop grade i7 6700HQ by about 20% with just 4 less cores so i think that the i5 would be better and money efficient. Also i dont prefer the 'K' version since overclocking on laptops is not my think due to heating and noise issues.
What i dont know is about the GPU, I dont think that the motherboards supports a desktop class gtx980. I will btw ask from the company though.
Any more suggestions regarding this would be awesome.

It should be fine for your needs. I hope you are not looking for very good battery life since the laptop has a desktop Core i5-6500. The GTX 970m is pretty good for a mobile GPU.

Going for either a desktop Core i7 CPU or the "cherry picked" nVidia GTX 980 desktop GPU in the laptop will likely push the price of the laptop beyond your budget. Having both of them definitely will; assuming it they are option for the laptop.

The GTX 980 has approximately 2x the performance of the GTX 970m and is probably around 40% - 50% more powerful than the GTX 980m. That performance will not come cheap.

I would have gone with the gtx980 but the barebone only supports mobile GPU so I think I have to go with the 970m for now. Rest I think the build will be fine.
