People say the actual learning peak is when you are around 5, and that it is in fact down hill from there, not only that, your brain reaches it's peak (of complexity/mass) at 21 and it's downhill from there.
If you don't learn the basics when you're 5, you'll struggle, and if don't generally don't know anything after you're 21 it'll only get harder and harder.
