support for obsolete asus laptop

Anybody know where I can find drivers and upgrades for an ASUS K501 laptop? The SN is worn off, so I don't know which version of the K501 it is, but it's a 15" with a dual core, 4GB of soldered-in RAM, plastic case. I'm trying to see if there's a BIOS update that'll allow me to ADD ram to it. I put in a 2GB stick, and it just defaults to that, skipping the 4gb already hardwired into it, rather than giving me 6GB, it gives me just the 2GB.

ASUS is not even showing this laptop on its website, because it's too old. The SN sticker is so worn I cannot read it, so IDK which version of the K501 it is. I want to expand the RAM. It has 4GB soldered in. Tried to add a 2GB chip, but it just skips the onboard 4GB and defaults to the added memory stick, giving me a total of 2GB, rather than 6.
I was hoping maybe a BIOS upgrade would do it, but ASUS doesn't seem to be supporting these old beasties anymore. I have Windows 10, 32-bit installed, but it's slow as can be. I think it's maybe a lemon. Does anybody know where I might find drivers, etc. to download for this old beast?
