surface 2 vs 1

I am starting collage soon and don't have a ton of money for a laptop. But I am looking into purchasing a laptop well I guess a surface is a 2 in 1. But baisicly all I really need is office and internet so the surface is perfect for me. What I was woundering is that is the surface 2 64gb or surface 1 pro better? I know that the surface one has full windows 8 as the surface 2 has Windows 8 rt they both would do what I need so what.one is better?
