Solved! Surround sound for firestick

Hi we have a finlux TV and this http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL027219&pathId=30&page=1&archive=true system works fine when you play a DVD and through the tv as connected via red white RCA cables from blue ray to tv. TV has 4 hdmi ports and 2 ext USB ports fire stick is currently in hdmi4 and have tried it in a couple of others too and just can get surround sound working when we flick on to firestick and suggestions?

Most probably -not, unless your TV is designed to pass-thru sound from HDMI inputs to audio output.
