Surround sound problem

I have surround sound speakers but no DVD to connect them is there a adaptor for the wires to go directly into the TV or will I have to buy a DVD player ?

I'm not sure what you mean, do you have the receiver for the speakers or is that the part you are missing?

What brand/model of speakers do you have.
