Surround sounds are not working

Hello ,

So I have SteelSeries 7H Gaming Headset with 7.1 surround sound system but it seems like I can use only stereo on my PC I tested headphones on another PC it worked (7.1) . But on mine nothing else works but stereo . Is this a PC problem ? And is there a way to fix this ?

Are yours the USB version?

There is a 7H USB download here https/steelseries.com/downloads

The non USB version are not natively 7.1 so would need software to simulate virtual surround sound.

No, my headphones are not USB ones . But like I said if I plug them on a different PC it works (by "it works I mean" in games you can hear sounds around you perfectly and in realted HD program aswell - http/prntscr.com/d47elg ) . But on my PC I can't hear anything but stereo - http/prntscr.com/d47fi5 . Second PC (not mine one) is without any simulation softwares , these are its specs : http/prnt.sc/d47hn5 .

They are a 2 driver headset, any surround sound must be synthesised as they are mechanically no different to a stereo headset. The surround sound comes from manipulated pitch and tones. Just because one PC shows 7.1 as an output option does not mean the headphones are operating as such, they would need 5x3.5mm jacks connected to the soundcard as that's how it would supply 7.1 to the separate speakers in a true 7.1 setup.
