From chunkymonster :"I feel much safer knowing there is so few gun around in Canada and the number of death by gun in USA compare to Canada comfort me in thinking so. )*

In reality, take the numbers from deaths from mal-practice from doctors and the number of gun deaths and the US, and you'll actually decide simply buy a gun and avoid the doctor!!
(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.
======================================

Now think about this: Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
(Yes, that's 80 million...)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age
groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188
Statistics courtesy of the FBI

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more
dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Anyone who said they are glad to have this "trustworthy" swat descending upon a citizen because they have a gun seems to think that they need police protection. Which further suggests a police state. Why can't we just protect ourselves? Has anyone who is glad to see someone get busted over a lego gun ever held a handgun in their life? Have you people ever even shot a real handgun? They really are not scary. Canada has plenty of guns and gun owners. And look at the percent rapes. And remember. Just because you are not killed or maimed with a gun does not mean you were not killed or maimed. This whole Canada has less gun deaths... who cares what weapon was used to kill someone? Its not like its better because they were killed with a knife.
