[citation][nom]r0x0r[/nom]Do you guys in the US have something like a bottles for cash sheme? I live in South Australia and the government pays us 10c for each bottle we take to the recycling centre (you can put them with the weekly recycling of course, but you won't get money that way).Just wondering if we're the only ones who do that.[/citation]

And your obviously aware that in all other states in Australia (South Australia is a state, not just the south side for those who don't know) DO NOT have the same scheme as in SA?

Of that I am fully aware. Hence why we cop so much flak from the other states (besides being a backwater as well, of course 😀)

If you ever come to Adelaide (if you don't already live here), you'll sometimes see people rifling through bins to get the cans and bottles. I know it doesn't look good, but at least they're not hassling people for spare change, so no-one cares.

Also it keep the streets clean of cans and bottles and gives the bottle collectors a bit of extra money.
