And your obviously aware that in all other states in Australia (South Australia is a state, not just the south side for those who don't know) DO NOT have the same scheme as in SA?

Of that I am fully aware. Hence why we cop so much flak from the other states (besides being a backwater as well, of course 😀)

If you ever come to Adelaide (if you don't already live here), you'll sometimes see people rifling through bins to get the cans and bottles. I know it doesn't look good, but at least they're not hassling people for spare change, so no-one cares.

Also it keep the streets clean of cans and bottles and gives the bottle collectors a bit of extra money.
