Switch between Computer speakers system and family room?

Ok, I have a 5.1 sound system hooked to my computer, and I'd love to also play my digital music library in the family room.

Is there are simple switch I can put in to switch from one to the other?

Do u have a home network setup in your home? If so get a router and have the folders where the digital music is stored at shared

I was going to have the computer pump it thru the powered speaker system.

If the speakers are only stereo then the simplest method would be to fit a splitter cable to the green port on your computer with one leg to the 5.1 and one leg the family room speakers.
I am in the UK so I will not link but if you search for audio switch box you should find a suitable switch to fit inline if you need this facility.
