Hello to all the people in the forum.
I want to install win7 in oracle virtual Box and there run visual studio 2010. But I have an older system. Its a
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+, 2009.325 MHz
and the total memory is
2003 MiB.

Might that work?

Or should I perhaps take XP, VS2010 express or another VM for better performance?
Thanks for advice.

2GB total on the hardware will not work. Or if it does run, not well.

1GB for the host system, and 1GB to run the VM, incl the OS and VisualStudio.

Allright, thanks very much.
I read that VS2010 allone should at least have 1 GB or better 2 GB. Lets say win7 takes 1 GB.
So with 4 or 5 GB it could work? Is the processor sufficient?

Again, 2GB total on the hardware will be tight.
VS requires a minimum 1GB. I've seen other statements that it requires an extra 0.5GB if running in a VM.
