If you don't need the DVR, HDhomerun is cheaper and better. A dual tuner is $130 and it'll stream via DLNA to any smart device in your house. All android, apple products, roku, xbox, playstation, and most modern TV's have DLNA support.

so it's a set top VLC + Tuner solution w/ 4 tuners. Not a bad price considering.
