"Tagged Virus": Saw that a lot of people are searching this on Google.

Just a heads-up. If you've received an email from Tagged.com, claiming that your friend has sent you pictures through the website, it's a fake. It's not a virus, but "just" an unscrupulous way of getting people to sign up for Tagged, a social networking website.

If you decide to sign up for Tagged, to see the pictures your contact allegedly sent you (a very bad choice), you'll end up having to provide your email login and password to the service. And guess what the website will do with that? Why, go through your contact list and send similar messages to all of your contacts, of course. :heink:

In other words, the so-called "Tagged Virus" is not a virus, but an annoying—and unethical—way of getting more people to sign-up for their service.

This has been going on for many years. These websites use it to artificially boost their membership count, so that they can use those inflated numbers to attract more paying advertisers. :p
