Hi guys,

So I've just bought a new headset for gaming on my pc (Superlux HD668b) and I want to know if I can remove the mic attached to my old turtle beach headset and use it with my new headset. Is this possible and if so how much work would it be?

Thanks

It depends on how each manufacturer has this setup, and even if you've brought the mic components out (if even possible) i doubt it's going to fit. And it's going to be jerry rigged together and look lame.

I would invest in this bad boy (which by the way has AMAZING sound quality.). This will let you buy any headphones in the future and still keep your mic capabilities.

A cheaper option is to buy the accessories for that specific headset with a mic and splitter:

This is the cheaper option @ only $15.00 but the quality isn't going to be as good compared to the mod mic.

Thanks morgilroka, I've managed to get something together with a detachable mic and some blutack but I have looked at those mics and will definitely invest in one in the future :)
