TCL 55" 4k connection help

Good morning all. I recently bought a TCL 55" 4K TV, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and the Vizio sb4551-d5 sound bar. Im kind of confused about how I would need to hook everything up. I have cable service through Spectrum with a Samsung cable box (HDMI output only). The has 3 HDMI ports (1ARC). Any suggestions on how I could hook everything up without having to switch cables and get the best sound possible. Beer money involved!

Connect the cable box and both consoles to the TV using all three HDMI inputs.
Connect the TV optical audio output to the soundbar optical audio input. Check the TV manual on how to use the optical audio output. Exactly the same audio quality using optical rather than ARC.
