Hey I was wondering is team viewer affected by bad internet connection on the side of the computer that is being connected too or is it like games where the ping is utilised or does it prioritise the best connection out of the two systems being used e.g. the computer used to view the virtual desktop. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

From my experience with TeamViewer supporting my father's laptop it does matter how fast the receiver's connection is.
Trying to support his laptop over a 1Mb/sec Wifi connection using my 30-40 Mb/sec connection was a nightmare.

I've run in to instances where TeamViewer screeches to a halt on a 2mb connection, especially if you're downloading something. If the target PC is on Windows 10, BITS will use nearly all of that bandwidth to download Windows Updates. 5mb works better but it's still a little sketchy when Windows Updates are downloading.
