They demanded $119,000 to upgrade their security? lmfao! What a bunch a POSs. Probably 4 computers pinging the shit out of their website brought them to their knees...they wanted an "actual" security system for free...

[citation][nom]goodguy713[/nom]dude a lot of our favorite actors and musicians are followers of the church of scientology..[/citation]
Hitlar was pretty famous

fame and intelligence is correlation not causation.

"The German government takes the view that Scientology is a commercial, rather than religious organization, and has even gone so far as to consider a ban on Scientology, saying that the goals of Scientology are incompatible with the German Constitution."

Next time DDoS while drinking a cool beer in Frankfurt.

ROFLMAO - Well this skid had it comin' to him with a DDoS... he should have just defaced it through some Chinese proxy.

hmmmm...funny how the intelligent people (or the n00bs) on here seem to know how to DDoS something.... was this kid a member?
we should make him moderator or something..lol

This is very sad. 1 year of prison means completely ruining someone's life, especially if that someone is a 19yo guy.
And for what? A prank that did not really harm anyone.
The guy did not kill anyone nor did he commit acts of thievery. When will the law understand that, while unlawful, his actions where not that of a REAL criminal?
If I was the judge I would not be able to sleep at night, ruining the life of a kid playing a prank 🙁

Punished for this? If anything there should be made a statue to honour him. I can respect religious, but scientology is a world wide scam to earn money!

Even by American standards this is royally fucked up. Seriously, one year?
He better be appealing to a higher court.

Agreed, but the judge can't play "Well that was a crime but I don't like them so I'll let you go". If it's going to be illegal to DDoS someone, then you have to expect to serve time if you get caught.

[citation][nom]montezuma[/nom]I would like to add that the judge is a fucking idiot. DDoS attacks are child's play and any script kiddie can do it. As a matter of fact, I am about to go fuck up the scientology website. Fucking scumbags.[/citation]

Next in the News! "User name montezuma gets 2 years in jail for clicking too many times a link in the Scientology web page,The Scientology cult is asking for money"

[citation][nom]Abrahm[/nom]Wow... Way to harsh of a punishment for knocking a website down for 1 day. And the church wants him to pay for their security features? WTF?[/citation]
totally agree

Judge Joseph A. Greenaway is about to order a rather large amount of pizza.
