I agree with you, but half heartedly. Yes, video games do show and engage users in violent scenarios, but the developers should not be censored or held responsible. However, game vendors should do a better job monitoring what age groups are buying certain games and restrict the sale of adult games to minors. When adult games do happen to make it home, parents need to crack down on their kids so they are not exposed to adult content. That goes for every parent! The hardest part about enforcing rules on kids is that their friends' parents don't enforce any rules in their household.
By not exposing children to adult games, we keep strong the moral barriers of what is right and wrong, legal and illegal.
It's about time parent's step up, take some responsibility for their kids before it's too late and tragedies like what happened to this mother repeat themselves.
