5 years is a good punishment, at least for a minor. Kids have it hard, but it's no excuse for a murder especially a brother. Violent games make even adults crazy, so make sure you can do everything to restrain them from playing games that are to aggressive. People get mad over simple things, but come on killing someone you love for a game, or even anything for that matter, is not only hurting the family but also hurting yourself for the rest of your life. You will never replace a person, that's horrible. I am an adult, and even I notice that I get edgy when playing MK for a long time, so I try not to. Educate your kids please and give them each a console, and whatever they are jealous of, please.

Why do websites keep putting up a false report about this incident? There was a witness to the stabbing a friend who was visiting. The Older brother was stabbed while he was in the middle of beating up the younger brother in the kitchen. The Argument was started because of a missing console game.

How fail are the English speaking Websites that they don't translate the news report properly.

WTF

It's cool that you grew up kind under such circumstances. Sorry for the past. I do agree that games are not everything, a lot of it is from other sources too. I do think the world is changing for the better though. Games are games, and they are just art, but they do have some impact on emotions and life styles. Doesn't matter who stabs who or why, it's still violence, and that is bad. Kids have to grow up with loving parents, it will only make the whole world a lot better. Good luck and hope for the best.

agree with whoever it is that said "ps3/any games just happened to be at wrong place and wrong time" i mean c'mon you blamed a dead object???? why not blamed the knife for being the murderer while you're at it??? makes more sense since its the thing that actually kills... and i didn't read anything from the post that they were playing violent video games or they've been playing violent games over the years... heck hitler didn't have access to violent video games and still killed millions...

btw ppl age has nothing to do with it, it's a mindset...and if you can't differ reality from fantasy and you try to get these worlds to overlap...oh god...

[citation][nom]guanyu210379[/nom]Murders done by teenagers have happened many times long even before violent games or movies even existed. Some of them even due to stupid simple reasons.Violence is part of our mind which is ready to explode anytime.Violent games and movies are only a catalyst to that.[/citation]

catalyst is niot the right word, video games don't set off violent events which is what a catalyst is, somthing that sets off a chain of events. in toerh words you kind of contradict yourself there bro LOL if any thing video games are a means to play out violence with out actually hurting some one in teh process, to say the least video games are stress releifer in that way. Any time i'm really pissed a good first person shooter , mellows me out. but then again so does palyign my bass guitar so maybe that is violent as well LOL (that was sarcasm)

[citation][nom]agawtrip[/nom]16 yrs old. minor age.anyway, thats another - points for violent video games. i said this before - i uninstalled L4D2 because my nephew and niece were playing it (8 & 7 yrs old). i dont want them to grow violently. do everything you can to be not an accessory to the crime, one way or another.[/citation]

thats jsut ridiculous sir , at age 8 adn 7 the kids are well old enough to udnerstand apropriate behivor from make beleive violence , i say l4d 2 would be fine for them , at that age , as long as they are supervised while playing , it's a zombie game , not a war simulator. you know what iw as playign and watchigna dn listeneing to when i was 7 and 8 ... i palyed games like contra, castlevania , and gunsmoke . i watched movies and TV like Return of the living dead, Platoon ,Preadtor, Tales fromteh dark side , and twilight zone. and i listened to Megadeth metallica , Ozzy , and frank zappa. i'm not a screwed up adult , I never went and shot any one , i don't even own a gun i hate the things in person actually , and this is even when i was raised by a country style hunting family. in general i try to get a long with every one i meet. the point i'm getting at dude , is i highly doubt that l4d 2 would be bad for these kids , granted if they were just two years younger, i'd say no myself, but at 7 and 8 i see no problem , if theya re being supervised.

Ah nothing like the liberal Europeans to act justly with 5yrs in prison. I mean it isn't like he used drugs or something..Why so harsh!
