It's funny how no one remembers that...

did i miss something, wasnt there this guy who envisioned a world where everyone can have one piece of equipment to connect them completely, make tough things easier, bring the world to the level of technological advancement it is at today, oh and didnt he become the richest man in the world........what was his name again....... William Henry Gates the third is the only entrepreneur i ever have and will ever look up to. How the f did the Olsen Twins get in there

How did he change things or make the world a better place. I would bet more people actually were thinking "He gave me an iPhone and iTunes! Hes the best" Those kids are idiots. Bill Gates was much more successful anyway.

Just like High School... a coolness vote. As entrepreneurs go - Jobs is pretty cool.

As for "Admirable"... well he's steered Apple back from the brink, and that's something. But on the other hand... his nemesis Gates has given away more money to charitable endeavors than Jobs will ever make, I think that swamps any "admirable" traits that Jobs has for folks who are a bit older. Gates is the most dominant Philantropist since some of the Gilded age magnates decided making their mark meant leaving something other than (or maybe "in addition to") huge monopolistic corporations behind them when they died.

[citation][nom]AdamB5000[/nom]LOL. All they did was look at their iPod and ask, "Who made this?""Why Steve Jobs made this, Darren," the teacher replied.Darren, a 14 year old student, responded enthusiastically, "Oh wow, Steve Jobs is my favorite. Can he have a Nobel Peace Prize?"[/citation]

2 good ! gonna laugh for a while at this one ... really , npp for obama is premature ...

[citation][nom]Jane McEntegart[/nom]Who did you admire when you were growing up? Let us know in the comments below![/citation]I can't believe she would ask this question and expect us to answer it! After reading that article and all of the other Apple BS articles that have been headlines on TH lately, the last thing I want to talk about here is who my childhood role model was. I'd rather state how sick I am of reading about Steve "Superman" Jobs and his utterly magnificent iPhone factory. I'm starting to have Willy Wonka daydreams featuring the head Apple CEO guy, golden iPods, and cartoon-like app R&D labs! I'm pretty sure the majority of TH readers are PC hobbyists who don't really give a rat's A55 about every little thing that happens in Appleland.

My dad! Smartest person I know, fortunately I got his brains 😉 He also taught me everything I knew about computers up until about 2-3 years ago when I started learning for myself.
