I'm actually most excited about the higher resolution and the much improved graphics/processor. I put down my DS for my PSP because of the graphics. Looks like I'll be going back to Nintendo again.

[citation][nom]Smochina[/nom]So, does it need glasses for 3d or not?[/citation]
It does not need glasses to be seen but the effect must be viewed through the DS's screen.

The 3D screen is basically a screen with tiny slits that your eyes will view at different angles causing different images to be shown to each eye. Since the images are rendered twice, you see added depth.

[citation][nom]the last resort[/nom]is it too hard to get one picture? or did they not put out pictures?[/citation]
Just look around online a little, there have been many videos and pictures posted as well as first impressions.

Nintendo has stressed that the 3DS units on display are demo/engineering samples only, adding that the final production version could look quite a bit different.

OMG... it's uglier than I thought it would be... it's so chunky and mis-matched.. not a fan. I think the designers must be color blind cause that puky(?) torquise w/ black just looks terrible. And the Dpad looks awkward to use. It doesn't look very idk, elegant, or well though out.

... You puke turquoise? You'd better see a doctor, dude.

I'm excited to find out the hardware specs for this thing, like what CPU/GPU is used as well as their capabilities, but I haven't seen any information released on internal hardware specs yet.

All I've heard so far are rumors suggesting graphics capabilities that could be similar to the GameCube/Xbox.

The known hardware specs so far relate to the screens, game cards, and wireless communication:
Top Screen:
3.53-inch widescreen LCD display, enabling 3D view without the need for special glasses; with 800x240 pixel resolution (400 pixels are allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing).
Touch Screen:
3.02-inch LCD with 320x240 pixel resolution with a touch screen.
Nintendo 3DS Game Card:
2 GB Max. at launch.
Wireless Communication:
Can communicate in the 2.4 GHz band. Multiple Nintendo 3DS systems can connect via a local wireless connection to let users communicate or enjoy competitive game play. Systems also can connect to LAN access points to access the Internet and allow people to enjoy games with others. Will support IEEE 802.11 with enhanced security (WPA/WPA2). Nintendo 3DS hardware is designed so that even when not in use, it can automatically exchange data with other Nintendo 3DS systems or receive data via the Internet while in sleep mode.

I'm guessing similar capabilities to the GameCube, going by Nintendo's trend with handheld consoles.

I'm glad to see this type of screen finally coming to the masses, hopefully it will push companies to improve on the technology and increase the angle at which you can see 3D.

If you see on the top right side, it has a slider for the 3D effect so you can either set it up to the highest possible or turn it off and play 2D so if you were to get a headache you can still play

[citation][nom]scifi9000[/nom]Must say, if the final product looks anything like the one on the pic above, I too am a bit disappointed, it looke so... 90s[/citation]

They got some pictures of the colors, red/black and all black (the coolest imo)

[citation][nom]p00dl3_h3r0[/nom]I can see this thing causing a strain on the eyes, much like those "magic eye" posters of yester-year. Virtual-boy anyone???[/citation]

Yea but virtual boy you had to look into like a visor and it was all black with red lines and dots.
