This is easy, who are their upstream providers? All major ISPs should threaten to blackhole the upstreams unless they discontinue service to their customer is they have been repeatedly warned and not acted. This may not stop the DDoS attack, but it will cut off their line of revenue. The next step is to file charges against the owners.

Ye still have lagspikes tword most things in the Eu and don't gimme the only the dutch are affected . My ISP is fantastic and I can feel this then I wonder how are ppl doing on isp's that have a worse bandwidth/user ratio then mine. They should make spamming and ddosing equal to breaking and entering and assault.

I hate spam, hate it in a can, hate it on the web. One thing I hate worse is when someone hates something and decides to attack them and everyone else that gets caught in the crossfire.
To put a name to it is called dictating what you can or can not do and no matter how bad you don't like something attacking them will only start loosing people their freedom and that turns dictating into dictatorship in a form.
I would think after 1939 the world (for the most part) has had it's fill of that kind of crap.
I do hate spammers though but I hate it when I can not do something needed because of garbage like this.

I was just playing online games with 30 ping. Outlook pops right up. Every major site is fine. No problems here.

WWW is designed to be a "web", hence the name. You can pound certain providers and segments, but shutting down the whole thing is not going to happen.

No one likes spam, but "content filters" can and are abused. The UK added torrent and usenet sites it its "child porn filter" not because of child porn, but because it was the best way to control content.

And for those arguing of hospitals and such suffering, any lawyer or "adviser" would know not to rely on the internet and have physical, real world back-ups.

guardianangel42:
Japan attacked us and we ended it. The only reason we got ours in first, is because they couldn't get their own done before us :) We never should have paid them a dime, nor their people. You punch someone in the nose and they beat you to death, tough luck. Don't pick fights you can't win #1. and Don't pick a fight if you're not willing to pay the price for losing #2.

By dropping the bombs, we saved MILLIONS of our own American lives (and a lot of theirs too depending on how long the war would have been) as they would have done the same thing ASAP with their own abomb they were working on. The price for Pearl Harbor is you get your A$$ kicked! We need to do the same thing to Afghanistan & Iran :) No need to send tons of our people to war costing trillions repeatedly. Just drop some well placed bombs on both and be done with it. While your at it bomb every school teaching anti-american crap (I'm looking at you muslim jihadists). Bomb every terrorist training camp, mosque (they can bicker over rubble), drug dealing punk hideouts, iran nuke facilities, Taliban hideouts, etc. Sure we'll kill some civilians doing it, but that's the price of war anyway. Anyone that doesn't understand this shouldn't be actively pissing off the world and threatening war on multiple countries (Iran). Understand I'm not for GOING to war, I'm for ending them before they start :) Bomb them all until they start hanging known terrorists/aholes in the streets for all to see. Then we can stop. :) We can't afford to fight these dumb wars for years and trillions of dollars just so a some people can think war is warm and fuzzy. Screw the pussies, we can end all wars in a week. For American's who think this is wrong, you're the reason the war has lasted 12 years in Afghanistan. You're the reason ALL our recent wars last forever. If you pussies would let our military do the job they all want to do (FINISH IT!) we'd be done and HOME by now.

Isoroku Yamamoto's quote was correct. All you did was PISS US OFF and awaken a GIANT. Do I like war? NO. Do I like what I say should be done? NO. The loss of "GOOD" people's lives is always terrible (I don't mourn evil death one bit). But I don't want to pay 6Trillion to play a NICE war either. I don't want more of my friends to die fighting NICE wars. We started in afghanistan in 2001. It won't end until we stop playing this game of "Politically correct war". My way would end it in a week for a few billion tops and end ALL American loss of life and all soldiers would come home (before the bombing of course). Seal up the borders and start dropping bombs I say. :( While your at it bomb every place we think China has been launching stealth internet attacks from on USA. :) We have a very good idea where that crap is coming from right down to the province :) Why are they still breathing? They need to pay a price for stealing our crap :) It's an act of war IMHO. We wouldn't let them cross our border to steal some Jet schematics and let them go freely right?. To bomb these bastards is to AVOID your DOOM situation correct? :) Every time they try to attack via the web again bomb that province. That crap would stop in a week or two tops as the benefits begin to NOT outweigh the damage we do in retaliation and their own people turn on them for getting them bombed week after week.

You burn our flag in the streets or attack our embassy? BOMB that site immediately (as in, while the flag they're holding is still on fire). WAR is HELL. We are still the superpower of the world. The only problem is, everyone believes we will never use that power as we're so afraid of what someone might think after we kill a few (god forbid) innocent people in the process. TOUGH, I say. Note I'm not saying nuclear stuff here, just MOAB the crap out of them, or something similar. We have many ways to attack without leaving the whole area toxic for years. I knew one of the HEROES who died in Benghazi. They still haven't paid for that! Heck, neither has Obama. They died because he ordered the generals to do NOTHING. Clinton should be jailed for going on the stand and still claiming "after their months of research the picture remains still somewhat complicated,"...BS. No mob did anything as the videos show. It was a Terrorist attack plain and simple. An attack on Sept11 over a 6 month old video?...ROFLMAO. I have a bridge to sell clinton. Why is the administration blocking interviews of Benghazi witnesses? I supposed they thought the fight would end quickly, but seals are tough bastards :) Hanging on for ~7 hours radioing "Do you have our backs or not ??" Only to find that both Clinton and Obama didn't. I digress...Uh oh, hang on...Obama's at my door...LOL

Hey, what happened to the forum button? Read comments in the forum button needs to come back. Ridiculous to remove that. Wow via TOR this website looks a lot different... :)

Apparently Cyberbunker hosts websites that are very controversial, so it seems like the perfect place for spammer hosting. Some of them are sites like the Pirate Bay and Wikileaks. When their ISP was identified as the host for Cyberbunker, they said "They are using extortion tactics against us!" "This is blackmail!" Though Spamhaus blacklisted the entire IPS's IP block.

“By doing this, Spamhaus is ruining its own reputation, not mine.”

Spamhaus might have just been proven right. Not sure if this is a good thing since this can open the doors up to over-filtering.

[citation][nom]guardianangel42[/nom]You don't understand how integrated the internet is into our society. In a few years, all hospitals will be referencing patient records off site. A DDoS on a hospital could EASILY kill everyone in the Emergency Room. A DDoS against the servers with the patient information and an entire country would be unable to treat the wounded and ill. Why? Because in a few short years, the pursuit of efficiency will have it so that no paper exists in a hospital. The infrastructure for handling patients will be geared toward instantly accessing a prospective patient's personal medical history, their allergies, what medications they're on, what treatments have been tried, all of it.Likewise bringing down any other major infrastructure could destroy the way the world functions. Law enforcement would be unable to access records on the road and in the future may even be unable to effectively respond to 911 calls. And let's not even talk about enemy nations stealing military secrets. They try, but they fail.As much as people Hate America, what do you think would happen if China got a hold of the schematics for stealth technology? What do you think would happen if they got a hold of any other schematics for any other military technology? You think they'd be as benevolent with it as we have been?If they didn't sell it immediately, they'd build it themselves. And China with a technological advantage is a scary thing. The worst thing you can do is underestimate the amount of damage that can be done by this sort of "warfare". You hear about petulant man children and their crusades against various injustices but not the successful cyber-espionage conducted by China against american companies nor the daily breaching attempts made against every US government organization. As the methodology becomes more advanced, the threat level rises. To underestimate it is to doom yourself.[/citation]

If society is stupid enough to not have a backup of critical information then they deserve the collapse. Having online records does not prevent facilities from having localized records as well. Having online records does not mean there is one server in one building that stores all information like a master computer. If doctors cannot pull up records then they have to unfortunately go with their years of medical training. Not every single person in the ER would die just because they don't have medical records available. But even if every single person in the ER died it would still be a miniscule fraction of the destruction an atomic war could wreak. The kinds of weapons Korea is amassing will eventually get to the point they could block out the sun with the dust cloud alone. And they're hugged quite tightly by their former red comrades China and Russia, leaving us with little recourse.

And China stealing secrets to get a technological advantage? Don't make me laugh. Who do you think builds American computers? It certainly isn't America. They don't need to steal anything from us. They own our labor and could easily backdoor those computers. They're claiming all the resources anywhere near them while we turn a blind eye. They're assimilating any neighboring countries so they don't have any enemies nearby. They have a massive population trained like dogs to loyally follow and not question them. With US education slipping, we're no longer going to be the leaders of innovation we've been the last century either. What's left to steal from Americans, obesity?

Globalization is what prevents outright war. First world nations so codependent they'd lose if they went to war.

This is a tech site, calm down. No need to document your manifesto here.

BTW, did you really just write that whole thing? Or is it just a cut and paste rant...

Cyberbunker makes money off harassing people with spam they don't want and ripping people off with scams in that spam. Then they retaliate when people oppose them and try to block them, using a method that affects tens of thousands of other people. These guys are first class idiot a--holes. Someone hunt them down, destroy their computer equipment, and confine them to the most primitive place in the world to make sure they'll never touch a computer again.

i know how to run a drilling rig that will bore thru solid granite any where. it only cost $80,000 to drill a hole 16 feet wide into this bunker and then fill it completely full of concrete.

what should be done if the all the servers being used to make the attacks should have their physical connection severed from even being on line.

were i involved i would black list the ISP hosting these attacks also and make damn sure publicly every one around the globe knew who was contributing to this infantile behavior and shame the host company into cutting their service.

i don't coddle criminals.

how are you guys enjoying this cloud fail? if games weren't on cloud, you wouldn't have this problem 300 Gbps of DDoS traffic

at the same time companys all over the world should band together when one of them gets attacked they all duplicate the site being attacked.

I don't think people defending the nuke analogy quite get it. Drop a nuke on the City of London and there would be no more City of London (talking about the financial centre here, the "Square Mile"). There would be no financial services from the area, nor midday packed lunches from the trolley, for that matter, for months or years. Drop it in London Bridge and you take out a major transport link and a hospital, complete with all patients, doctors and equipment.

In contrast, this DDoS attack, no matter how many "hospitals can't look up drug info and patient records" on the day, won't have anything like the devastating effect that a city-destroying explosion can have.

i honestly see no problem with spam, i have a spam filter and it does a good job.

cant we just shut them down 100%, take them off the internet?
