Solved! The dvd player works and so does netflix but i cant get my comcast cable tv . How do I connect the cable box to the dvd player

i have a new samsung smart tv.. I have a dvd player hooked up to the tv and it works also my Netflix works. I cannot get my cable channels to work. what are the connections between the dvd player and the cable box>

Why would u connect cable box to the DVD? Connect it to the TV, everything connects to the TV, UNLESS this DVD box is really one of those Home Theater thing with built-in amplifier.
