I consider myself an advanced PC user, however, when it comes to batteries and charging some questions arise. When is the right time to charge my laptop? I usually use it connected to the power outlet since I don't need mobility all the time, but then the need to mobility may surge... let's suppose I used the computer on battery power for an hour or so and it still has 80% of battery available. Would it be bad to connect the charger right away? Should I drain more of the battery power and then charge when it gets around 10%? Your answers are highly appreciated! x, Hugo

Solution
If you have a newer laptop, just plug it in when you want. You should have a power manager program on the system that you can use to adjust battery performance, say to always charge or for max battery life.
