my game will not install on my laptop not even a music cd

If you can't get anything recognized by your CD drive, you will probably have to replace it. Is the drive seen by Windows? What is the laptop model? The new SIMs are on DVD, if you only have a CD reader you won't be able to install it without upgrading the drive.
