Thin laptop/ultrabook for steam gaming?

Selling my gaming rig in a bit, I'm looking for something pretty thin and able to do casual steam gaming (such as CS:GO & Dota 2). I'm not really looking for something to play newer titles.
I'm a college student and building another rig isn't particularly in my interests, because I would love the portability and also I would like to get a bit of a life. I've been looking into ultrabooks (I know I know, ultrabooks and gaming don't necessarily go together), I LOVE thin and I'm not a fan at all of carrying huge and heavy laptops. My budget is $1000 or less (best price for performance and helping a college student save money would be nice!) and I don't mind buying used/refurbished. I prefer using Amazon because shipping rates to Hawaii are eugh.
I mainly play CS:GO, so high settings with lovely fps are really wanted (1080p also please, and preferably Windows 8/8.1).
So far what has caught my interests:

I was actually looking into the Lenovo Z50 coming out soon, do you think it would be worth the wait?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.. After extensive researching up to 2am, I've come down to these two. What factored into my decisions was THIN, 1080p, dedicated graphics.. I'm not a fan at all of touchscreens/glossy screens, and i7/i5 doesn't really matter because I'm not doing any video rendering or anything like that. I also have an SSD i can swap/add in. I highly prefer Asus. Could i get some opinions

The Asus offers a lot more but the Acer looks yummy.. Anybody have any experience with the Acer? I couldnt find many reviews.
Thanks
