Think pad adding trackpad

Hi, I have a Lenovo think pad r61e and it does not have a track pad, but I think it has connectors for a trackpad, could I change the palm rest to one with a trackpad?

As long as it has the connector for it, yes. The connector for the track pad is right next to the Memory slots, it's a little white plug. If you do not have that, then you would not be able to.
