This may sound really stupid but ever since I got my first virus attack I have begun second guessing everything. Please don't hate on me but is it possible in any way for USB Wifi Adapters to carry viruses? Because last time it was used on an infected PC.

If an attacker was hands on with that adapter, almost certainly yes.

If it's just a normal adapter that was plugged into an infected system (without anyone focusing on that system in particular), then not really.

If device was bought as brand new form shop than it is almost impossible to be infected. (You can ifcest it during factory production)

But if you bought it 2nd hand andhacked could possibly add something like 2 linec of maliciouc code to device than yes it is very unlikely but phicisally possible.

I would just run a scan on the device to make sure there are no viruses or reinstall it.
